Greetings Trail Riders!

 I would like to invite you to join a new Yahoo Group.  The group is entitled TrailAlert.

 The purpose of this group is to inform and collect data concerning issues about equestrian trails in the National Forests.

 As many of you know, the U.S. Forest Service is closing equestrian trails all across the United States.  They are doing so in the name of science and resource damage, when in actuality, the trails are being closed at the “whim” of the Forest Supervisors.

 I would encourage you to share incidents, issues, court cases/rulings…anything that might shed light on the way the Forest Service does its business.  I WOULD CAUTION YOU TO BE ABLE TO VERIFY EVERYTHING YOU REPORT! 

 Use TrailAlert to announce Public Comment deadline dates.  The U.S. Forest Service needs to hear from YOU, regardless of the state in which you live.  Remember, ALL national forests belong to ALL of us!!

 Please join other trail riders across the country.  If you choose not to join, at least check out the group messages from time to time to keep informed on this topic!
